Today we are hiring a Remote, Electrical / Specifications Engineer for our client. This role is fully remote and in the Job Industry of Engineering.

The Specification Engineer will play a vital role in advancing the client’s position in the product sector with the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge solutions, engage with diverse stakeholders, and actively participate in the growth of the product line. Regular travel to manufacturing sites, customer/job sites, and trade-show support will be top priority, with up to 50% travel. The position reports directly to a CCO and requires a background in Commercial/Multi-family projects.

 

Job Duties:

This role is remote with travel up to 50%. Travel is not normally back-to-back or a situation where you are gone all week or multiple weeks so, VERY manageable.

Our client is a designer and manufacturer of the product. You will need a background coming out of construction/architectural/design firms in order to have the type of background that allows you to have the electrical design experience the client is looking for.

Exception would be a candidate that is already working for a design/manufacturing company that had that type of background from previous work experience and is in a like Specifications Engineering role now.

• Work closely with the sales team to achieve market growth
• Build current product awareness and understanding and support new product development.
• Represent the company at trade shows, engineering conferences, and marketing events.
• Identify training needs and provide guidance to promote product knowledge and effective promotion.
• Work with engineering team on product specifications, applications, and contribute towards product refinement.
• Prepare and present white papers, application notes and technical articles to reinforce the company as subject matter expert in the industry.
• Serve as an expert advisor on different theoretical topics and case studies at conferences and technical meetings.
• Research, measure, and monitor competitor market share to enhance the reception of the company’s product in the market.
• Perform other duties as assigned

 

 Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Architecture, or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• 4+ years of experience designing electrical systems within the construction / architectural / civil engineering industry – commercial building / multi-family projects. The role we are hiring for would be working alongside client’s Building Wire segment and sales team. They will be in the realm of low voltage for multi-family/residential.

A plus to have experience with commercial/industrial builds as well.
• Understanding of IEEE Standards
• Experience analyzing drawings and specifications
• Self-motivated with strong prioritization and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical capabilities, with a preference for design experience.
• Demonstrated experience interacting with key decision-makers.
• Ability to effectively communicate and present information to various stakeholders, including customers, prospective clients, trade organizations, contractors/builders, inspectors, team members, team leaders, and top management.
• Contacts and experience in GA, FL and or TX is needed.
