We are seeking 2 reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Cleaners to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of a commercial facility. This position requires approximately 2 hours per day, with work beginning promptly at 6:00 AM-8pm.
Monday- Saturday- Starting July 1st for Winston Salem, NC and July 15th for Gastonia, NC.
The job locations are in Gastonia, NC and Winston Salem, NC.
Salary is $15.50 – $16.00 per hour. 12 hours per week/paid weekly.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Opening Duties (Starting at 6:00 AM- 8PM)
Sanitize and disinfect high-touch surfaces, including:
Keyboards
Payment pin pads
Telephones
Checkout stations
Design Center desk
Pro Desk
Customer pickup area
Information stations
Office and breakroom door handles
Appliance and cabinet handles
Clean and disinfect the beverage and coffee station countertops.
Restroom Maintenance (Daily)
Clean and disinfect sinks, urinals, toilets, partitions, vents, mirrors, and dispensers.
Replenish soap and paper products as needed.
Mop floors, walls, and baseboards to maintain a sanitary environment.
Office Areas (Daily)
Includes breakroom, training room, and offices:
Sweep and mop all floors.
Empty trash receptacles.
Clean breakroom counters and sinks.
Dust and clean vents and light fixtures.
Sales Floor Cleaning (Daily)
Sweep all sales floor areas.
Pay special attention to the grout and mortar aisle.
Operate an automatic floor scrubber to clean the front-end area, racetrack, and designated aisles according to the cleaning rotation schedule.
Edge mop where necessary.
Use only approved cleaning products and leave floors free of streaks.
Properly dispose of wastewater in designated drains only. Do not dump dirty water outside.
Design Center (Weekly)
Sweep and mop floors.
Wipe down display counters and fixtures.
Pro Desk (Daily)
Empty all trash containers.
Building Entryways (Daily)
Clean exterior entrance and exit aprons.
Remove cigarette butts and empty outdoor trash receptacles.
Spot clean interior and exterior windows around entry areas.
Required Equipment and Supplies
The individual or company performing these services must provide all necessary equipment and cleaning materials, including:
Automatic floor scrubber (required daily and must remain on-site)
Approved cleaning chemicals
Scrubbing pads
Dust mops
Wet mops
Two mop buckets with wringers
Deck brush and corner brush
Toilet brush and holder
Dust wand
Wet floor signs (if not already available)
Janitorial cart
Paper products and soap refills
Any additional tools or supplies necessary to successfully complete the required scope of work
Qualifications
Prior commercial janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe facility.
Reliable and punctual with the ability to consistently start work at 6:00 AM.
Experience operating commercial floor-cleaning equipment is a plus.
